Plot Overview
After the shootout in the ER, Neela and Dubenko operate on Jerry to save his life; the trauma of the shootout affects Abby, who goes into pre-term labor and ultimately gives birth to her son two-in-a-half months early; after the birth, Abby suffers from bleeding which requires her to have a hysterectomy.
Meanwhile, Sam and Alex tries to escape from Steve and his co-conspirators, Rafe & Mary. After being chased by the local police and getting away from them, Steve kills Mary & Rafe (who wants to dump Sam & Alex) and later rapes Sam while Alex is asleep. When Steve falls asleep, Sam prepares to escape from Steve, but she picks up Steve's gun and ends up shooting him to death three times.
