DuckTales is an animated adventure that aired in syndication. A handful episodes did however premiere as a part of NBC's The Magical World of Disney.

Premise

The show focused on the adventures of "the richest duck in the word", Scrooge McDuck, and his grandnephews Huey, Dewey & Louie. They all are related to the famous Disney character Donald Duck, who occasionally appeared on the show. The show took a lot of the setup and characters as well as some stories from Carl Barks' Uncle Scrooge comics, debuting in 1952.

After the show's ending, one of the central characters, daredevil pilot Launchpad McQuack, became a main character in new series Darkwing Duck.
