Plot Overview
A brutal rape occurs in the neighborhood where a recently paroled rapist has moved, an area about a mile from where Annabeth lives. Naturally, many of the area's residents are eager to see that the parolee is arrested and convicted for the crime, but the man seems to have a solid alibi for the night of the attack, and Annabeth doesn't believe that the rape matches the M.O. from his earlier crimes. She and the team work on checking out other sex offenders in the area, while at the same time dealing with one overzealous citizen, whose daughter was brutally raped and killed and wants to see the accused man behind bars. Additionally, Annabeth is hounded by Maureen, who thinks that the pressure of caring for her baby is affecting her ability to handle the case.
