The Show
This episode – where Ed is outraged to learn that the man he sold a rooster is involved in illegal cockfighting and demands to get the bird back - marks the first episode produced since the death of Freddie Prinze. This and two other episodes produced afterward each made reference to Chico being "away," either on business or to visit his father. Scripts were rewritten, with Chico's lines either taken out or rewritten for co-stars Scatman Crothers and/or Della Reese.
