[edit] Plot Overview
When a struggling Red Sox pitcher asks Sam for advice about how to break a slump, Coach remembers that Sam used to carry a good luck charm, a flattened bottlecap. Sam loans the bottlecap to the pitcher, who goes on a hot streak. Sam, however, has a run of bad luck and wonders if he should've kept the bottlecap.
