Plot Overview

In New Cap City, a vengeful Tamara confronts fellow "deadwalker" Zoe.

Clarice and Amanda depart from the cabin, Amanda to an empty home and Clarice to a kidnapped Lacy.

Meanwhile, Daniel has successfully won back his company, but there's one more part of the process that Daniel isn't ready for.

Happenings

• Clarice questions Lacy about the whereabouts of Zoe's avatar program. After Lacy reveals its destruction with the U-87, she mentions that a backup maybe held on Zoe's infinity pin.

• The Graystone Industries board of directions unanimously vote to reinstate Daniel as CEO. However, Vergis knows the Ha'la'tha will not let him live and, as a Tauron, he intends to control his return to the soil at the hands of his enemy and sets Daniel up to drive a dagger through his heart. He calls Joseph and the Ha'la'tha disposes of the body and cleans up the evidence.

Characters

• It's revealed that when Zoe was five, she was saved from the fire by an apparition in the form of what Zoe herself would look like as a teenager. Zoe was also responsible for the design that Daniel seemed to have inadvertently copied for the U-87. This being then encouraged Zoe to create life and thus began working on her avatar.

• Zoe still feels intent on taking punishment for her deceased counterpart before the Zoe apparition helps her to be her own person. She then convinces Tamara to help her, believing they have a shared purpose, something beyond the cheap, hedonistic entertainment of New Cap City.

• Amanda is working with Duram. He wants her to infiltrate Clarice's home, which she manages to do by convincing her to let her stay at her home for a while.

• Lacy is held captive in the Willow attic. After she reveals what she knows about the avatar program, Clarice has her sent to Gemenon for an STO training programme.
