Caprica is a dramatic science fiction program currently in development for the Sci Fi Channel. It is intended as a spinoff to the current Battlestar Galactica, taking place over fifty years before the events of that program. The program will follow the lives of two families, the Graystones and the Adamas, alongside the development of the first Cylon. A two-hour pilot movie has been ordered with potential for a series order based on ratings performance.
