Plot Overview

Getraer assigns Ponch to be a training officer to a female rookie, which causes no end of headaches for him, as she turns out to be impulsive and headstrong, putting herself in the line of danger, and also making Ponch's latest squeeze jealous. Before long, her roommate, a fellow CHP rookie, is being trained by Jon. While this is going on, the officers have to deal with a trio of prison escapees who stole a police car, and also a pair of pickpockets working the boardwalk area near the beach.
