Plot Overview
Invited to a desert dude ranch by Peter's practical-joker college buddy, the Burkes' vacation takes a nightmarish turn when Peter's friend is found frozen to death...on a day when the temperature reaches 100 degrees. Peter winds up arrested as a suspect, but Amos correctly deduces that the Sheriff is a suspect himself and arrested Peter to throw them off. Among the other suspects: Charlie's less-than-grieving wife and her boyfriend, a country singer and the head of a soda company.

Memorable Moments
For the first and only time in the history of both the original and new Burke's Law series, Amos defers the revealing of the killer to someone else...in this case, his son/assistant Peter (only fitting since the victim in this episode was his college buddy).
