Allusions and References
At the beginning of the episode, Burke is with a date, an actress who is demonstrating some of her screams for him. She mentions that the scream she just demonstrated for Amos was her 'Joan Crawford scream', and also that she did some screams for Natalie Wood and will be doing a two-week stint with Tawny Hastings at Four Star. Four Star Television was the production company of Burke's Law (the actress pronounces the name of the company with the emphasis on the 'Four' instead of 'Star', as company founder Dick Powell did in the voiceover that originally accompanied the studio's logo: 'This has been a FOUR Star production'). Tawny Hastings is the actress character played by Susan Strasberg in this episode.
Memorable Moments
Quotes
"I broke Burke's first law--never play a killer's game. Let him play yours"--so says the good Captain after he's knocked unconscious by a swinging trapeze in the spa's gym while responding to a scream for help.
