Plot Overview

Burke's a witness to murder--he's a guest at Victor Haggerty's party when arrogant artist Beau Sparrow, showing off on the pool's diving board, is catapulted head first into the side of the pool. Amos initially suspects sabotage, as the board's bolts appear to be tampered with, but when it's learned that the board was really defective and that the dead man didn't die from any sort of head injuries, he's totally perplexed.
