[edit] Plot Overview
Alan is experiencing night terrors triggered by the high level of stress in his life (brought on by Tara leaving him, he thinks), and looks for someone to watch over him while he sleeps. Denny is not enthusiastic with the thought of sharing his bed with another man, so Alan enlists the aid of his new secretary Melissa, who conditionally agrees. Denny, Shirley, and Paul are on a legal team to defend a young man who is accused of vehicular homicide; confronting the prosecution's star witness, a woman with Alzheimer's, forces Shirley to confront her own discomfort with the disease. Denise has to defend a client against allegations that he implanted "homegrown" fat cells into unwitting patients; Denise being a patient of this doctor raises questions as to whether she was a victim as well.
