Plot Overview
In the end, a completely heartbroken Hoss stands at the fireplace, staring at the engagement ring he gave Carol before dropping it into the fireplace – a symbolic move as sometimes, when a relationship and love goes as wrong as it had here, it's best to burn it, grieve and the move on. Ben and Joe decide to give Hoss some privacy and let him grieve.
