Plot Overview
As he gets closer to Madeleine, Norman learns that the new sheriff is investigating Blackwell's death. Romero continues to be on the move while seeking medical help.

Happenings
- Chick disposes of Caleb's body by giving him a Viking funeral pyre.
- The new sheriff, Jane Greene, investigates Jim Blackwell skipping his parole. She visits Norman to ask about Blackwell having his address, as well as the timing of Romero's escape.
- Chick readies to move in, but Norman tells him he can't.
- Norman visits Chick to ask where he can find a chop shop to dispose of Jim Blackwell's car, which Norma had hidden away in the woods.

- Norman gets rid of Norma's clothes before deciding to give it to Madeleine, which she wears when he shows up for dinner.
- Romero calls in a fake emergency to steal from an ambulance what he needs to treat his wounds. He later shows up at Maggie Summers's home and she takes him in.
- Norman gets upset at Mother and attacks her. She briefly sees her as dead before she recovers.
- Norman's dinner date with Madeleine turns intimate before he sees Mother slice her throat. He races home to see it as it really is and he can't find Mother.
