Forget Me Now is the third episode of the third season of Arrested Development, and the forty-third episode overall. It was the last episode aired before the show went on hiatus for the 2005 Major League Baseball Playoffs.

• First Appearance: This episode marks the first appearance of Scott Baio as Bob Loblaw, the lawyer Michael hires as Barry Zuckerkorn's replacement.

• Awards: For their roles as Bob Loblaw and Rita, respectively, in this episode, Scott Baio and Charlize Theron were each nominated for an IVy Award for the 2005-06 season for Best Guest Actor or Actress in a Comedy Series.

Allusions and References

• Happy Days: Happy Days was a sitcom that aired from 1974 to 1984 which followed the lives of the Cunningham family. As the series progressed, however, the storylines began to focus more and more on the supporting characters like The Fonz (played by Henry Winkler). Towards the end of the series, the focus on The Fonz was directed to his cousin Chachi (played by Scott Baio) in order to pick up a younger audience. On Arrested Development, Scott Baio replaces Henry Winkler (who played Barry Zuckercorn) as the Bluth family lawyer.

Bob Loblaw: Look, this is not the first time I've been brought in to replace Barry Zuckercorn. I think I can do for you everything he did, plus skew younger.

• 40-Year-Old Virgin & Judd Apatow: Maeby greenlights two films. The first is "Losing It!" by "Judd Apacow", which she renames "The 14-Year-Old Virgin". Judd Apatow, along with Paul Feig (a director on Arrested Development), was executive producer of Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared. The other producers went on to make Life As We Know It, which was based on the Melvin Burgess book Doing It. But Apatow instead went into film, writing and directing "The 40 Year Old Virgin".

• Personal Injury: Bob Loblaw's commercial recalls low-budget local lawyer commercials. With bad acting, bad continuity (Bob closes his law book three times) and low production values Loblaw's commercial is a parody of these types of ads.
