American Family is a sitcom pilot ordered by ABC in 2007 which never aired, about a bizarre family trying to behave as though they are normal for the benefit of their neighbors. The pilot was never sold, although the title American Family was used as a working title for the 2009 ABC sitcom Modern Family.
