Haylias is the fifth episode of the third season of American Dad, and the forty-seventh episode overall. In order to put Hayley on the path to happiness, Stan activates her brainwashing from "Project Daycare" and orders her to marry the gay son of a senator.

Plot Overview

This episode opens when very young Hayley is in a Kindergarden Classroom.But,there is something unusal about this Kindergarden Classroom.All of the childen including Hayley have shock collars around their necks.There are some other things going on as well.Hayley awakens from what she believes to have been a Dream.She tells Stan,and Francine about it.Stan drops his cup of Coffee.Hayley interprets the dream as a sign that she shoud leaves the Country,and go to France.Stan thinks this is a bad idea.Stan has reasons for thinking this.Years ago,The CIA had instituted a Program called Project Daycare,where a number of children,Hayley included where programmed to become sleeper Agents for the CIA.Stan had Hayley Programmed because he thought it would be a good idea to have a Father/Daughter Team to go out on Mission.For reasons unknown to Stan the Project was terminated.Stan talks to his Boss Deputy Director Bullock about the Program,but he only says that the Sleeper Agent had lost their free will after seven days.Stan feels that Hayley would be throwing her life away if she goes to France.He wants her to get married,and have children.Stan is introduced to a visiting Senator.He,and Stan begin talking,and after getting somewhat aquainted,the Senator tells Stan that he also has a child(a Son to be specific) that is also a free spirit.He wants his Son to also settle down.The Senator introduces his Son to Stan.The Son whose name is Dale is working out at the Gymnasium.Working out on a treadmill.Dale is walking with a cane as if strolling.Dale is an effeminate,and well-dressed Man.After meeting him,Stan thinks that he would be perfect for Hayley.She however is not interested,as she can tell that she,and Dale are so different.The Senator would like his Son to get married so that the Senator can give him his inheritance.It is believed that Dale will marry Hayley to receive his inheritance.Hayley who was at the Airport when Stan introduced her to Dale tries to talk her out of going to France.After meeting Dale,and bidding her Father adue,Stan utters a trigger phrase to put Hayley under his control.The trigger phrase worked.Hayley who goes under the Code Name 'Small Wonder',will obey any command that Stan gives.First,on command she tears up her Plane Ticket,then she she is to become interested in Dale,and from then on,dating,and eventually marriage.Meanwhile,Steve,and Roger both decide to become Detectives.This idea came about after watching their favorite Detective Show Tex,and Mex.They both work out their personas as Detective Partners.They have disagreement about which one should be the Wheelchair Partner.Not coming to any solution,they both decide to work separately.Francine begins to become suspicious of the change in Hayley.Her attitude to which she does'nt seem happy,and her clothing wear,as she is wearing a dress instead of her pants.Stan begins to feel a twinge of guilt at what he has done to Hayley,and consults Klaus about it.Klaus pretends to ignore Stan,because Stan often ignores him.Stan begs Klaus for advice.Klaus listening to Stans pleas reminds Stan that he(Klaus)is a Man whose brain was surgically put into the Body of a Fish,and therefore should be treated better.Stan agrees with Klaus,and Stan is sorry for treating Klaus with less respect.Klaus is touched by the apology.His advice to Stan is that he should reconsider the marriage,and bring Hayley out of it.Stan will bring Hayley of her trancelike state after she marrys Dale.Once that is done,she will feel that the marriage was her idea.Unforetunately,on the day of the Wedding,Stan is too late to cancel the trigger phrase,to bring Hayley out of her trancelike state.He wanted to say the trigger phrase on the Day of the Wedding,or she will lost her free will.Stan was told by Bullock that all Sleepy Agents will looze their free will if not deactivated within seven days.With seconds to spare,Stan says the trigger phrase,but he was too late.Hayley though still unbrainwashed,behaves differently now.When Stan gives her a command,she reacts to his command get her picture taken with her nearly breaking his arm.Stan is suprized by this reaction,and consults Bullock about the whole story about why Project Daycare was terminated.Bullock informs Stan that the Project was terminated because the Sleeper Agents were killing their Handlers.This revelation shocks Stan,and Bullock sensing that Stan had reactivated Hayley orders him to deactivate her NOW!When Stan informs him that the seven days period had collapsed,Bullock panics,and runs out of the Buliding.He calls Stan on his Cell Phone,and calls for his Green Car to be brought to him by the Parking Attendant.He tells Stan all Sleeper Agents that are not deactivated within seven days will turn on,and kill their Handlers.Since Hayley was trained to become an unstoppable Killing Machine,and Stan is her Handler,she will kill Stan.For her to return to her on self,she would have to do the latter.Bullock then hangs up,and drives away.By the look on Hayleys face,she intends to kill Stan.During the traditional Father,and Daughter Dance,Stan tries in vain to make understand that what he did was to make her happy.In this same scene,Steve,and Roger are at a table with their own Partners.Steves Partner is an experience Ex-Private Eye,and Rogers Partner is a Woman whom Roger says is an Angel,who has to solve 100 cases before she can be admitted into Heaven.But,Steve becomes suspicious of her when she begins to eat devils food cake.Steve exposes her as a fake when he pulls her fake wings off.Roger is truly impressed by Steves solving Rogers secret.So much so,he call Steve Wheels.They were going to work together to call themselves "Wheels,and the Legman".Now Roger will become The Legman".When Hayley says that she is planning to kill Stan,he makes a desperate attempt to escape.Hayley pursues him relentlessly.She chases him from the Wedding Party to The Smiths Home,where she tries to kill him in variuos ways.She finally corners him with gun in hand.Stan in a final plea for her not to shoot him,he admits that he was at fault for all the problems of late.In the end,Hayley pulls the trigger.In the last scene,Stan awakens,believing it was all a dream,but it was'nt.Hayley did shoot Stan,and came out of her state.She does'nt know why she shot Stan.Stan does'nt seem to recall why neither,and sense nobody knows why,plus the Marriage has been annulled,everything is back to normal.Hayley having come out of her state had also decided to stay in America.
