Plot Overview
Jim Olsen travels to Moose Island to visit his Aunt Louisa and cousin Chris. They are the only inhabitants on the small island. From the beginning he finds the two to be uneasy, and Chris to be hostile towards him. One day on a walk he runs into a man named Mack who mistakes him for Chris. He heads back to the house where Chris becomes upset that he traveled too close to the lighthouse.
He learns that the lighthouse has been discontinued for many years due to an accident that occurred. They both insist that Jim doesn't go anywhere near the lighthouse. However, that night Jim sees lights from the lighthouse and goes to investigate. Chris follows and threatens him with a knife if he doesn't stay away. The next day Jim starts getting notes from Aunt Louisa that she is in trouble, but he always finds her not to be in trouble. He calls Clark, who hurries to Moose Island.
Once there, Clark asks for samples of Aunt Louisa's writing to compare. Jim gets them, and leaves to meet Clark out by the shore. He stumbles upon a cave, but is followed by Chris and Mack who beat him up and lock him behind bars in the cave. Superman arrives, breaks Jimmy Olsen out and fights off Mack, who is tripped over a ledge. Back at the house, Superman has freed the real Aunt Louisa, who was locked up in the lighthouse. The fake Aunt Louisa is really named Carmody. Her and her son Chris are smugglers who use the lighthouse.
