Gidget Grows Up (1969) is a TV movie which aired as part of the ABC Movie of the Week. It is a sequel to the theatrical films Gidget, Gidget Goes Hawaiian and Gidget Goes to Rome, as well as the 1965 series Gidget. Gidget Grows Up was also an attempt to revive the franchise for television, but it failed, as did the later ABC Movie of the Week Gidget Gets Married, although the character would return again in the 1980s series The New Gidget.
