Plot Overview
A mortally wounded prison escapee pays a visit to Spencer, begging him to find a fortune in stolen jewels that he claims was buried beneath his daughter's treehouse on their old property. Jeff then sends for the daughter, who moved in with relatives in Chicago, and is pleasantly surprised to see that she's not a teenager but a classy beauty, and together they try to find the tree where the loot was buried and smoke out the murderous thief who orchestrated the theft.
