Plot Overview
After Rex breaks up a fight between a friend of his, a popular nightclub singer, and a gossip columnist, he's phoned by his friend's wife, who tells him to rush to the columnist's house, as there may be trouble. The detective breaks up yet another fight between the two, but not long afterward, the columnist is killed, and his friend is on the hook for a murder charge. Certain that he didn't do it, Rex goes to work checking out other celebrities whose name appeared in the dead man's columns, all victims of his blackmail threats.
