Plot Overview
Stu's visit to a college campus to lecture at an old friend's criminology class doesn't go so smoothly. First off, he's shot at when he goes to visit the site where a popular co-ed accidentally fell to her death. Secondly, a conniving student in Stu's friend's class claims that he can beat the professor's new lie detector machine and arranges a phony kidnapping to prove it. The student's friend, the kidnapping 'victim' and also the boyfriend of the girl who was killed, is found dead, and the murder weapon (a ceremonial dagger) has his prints on it. The Sheriff thinks that the dead boy suspected his friend of murder and was blackmailing him (the blackmail note found nearby), but Stu isn't so certain.
