Plot Overview
After two attempts on a bandleader's life, his wife, an old flame of Jeff's, hires the detective to investigate. Posing as a guitarist for the band, Jeff discovers that the bandleader's little black book, with names of conquests in many cities, provides a motive for the would-be killer, but he soon discovers that the man is being blackmailed and that may explain the murder attempts.
