Basic Information
David Palmer was the first black President of the United States.
Character History
Season One
Palmer, a Presidential candidate, was the subject of several assassination attempts, which were foiled by CTU agent Jack Bauer. He went on to win the election and became the President of the United States.
Season Two
President Palmer, alerted to a potential nuclear threat to the United States, recalled inactive CTU agent Jack Bauer to duty.
Season Three
Palmer, up for re-election and dealing with problems on multiple levels, has to deal with not only a terrorist threat to the United States but the scheming of his ex-wife Sherry Palmer. In the face of multiple scandals and threats to his principles, Palmer withdrew from the Presidential election.
Season Four
Ex-President Palmer was brought in to help solve a dangerous situation by acting-President Charles Logan, who was completely out of his depth.
