Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX is an anime fantasy adventure spun off from the wildly popular Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters series. The series features an entirely new cast, instead focusing on Jaden Yuki and his life in a duelist academy. The series debuted in Japan on October 6, 2004 where it aired on TV Tokyo.
The series was later dubbed and broadcast in America under the shortened name Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, with the GX standing for "Generation Next." The English dub premiered on October 10, 2005 during Cartoon Network's Miguzi block of children's television.
