You Deserve It is a game show that aired on ABC.
In this show, contestants vie for cash prizes by identifying subjects based on a series of clues they purchase with the value of each purchase disclosed after it is selected (anywhere from a couple of hundred dollars to thousands--each value is deducted from their score as the clues are purchased). Once a player can give the subject, he/she locks it in. Correct answers score the money. The first game starts at a $10,000 stake and each game's cash prize goes up to a potential maximum of $250,000. The catch is that the money the contestant wins goes to a friend or family member who they feel deserves it. And those friends and family members are unaware of the windfall until the show's crew and cameramen arrive at their home with the news.
