Yogi Bear was a Hanna-Barbera cartoon that began as a segment of The Huckleberry Hound Show in 1958. He was an inhabitant of Jelleystone Park where he was a hip-talking Art Carney-esque opportunist and later developed into a filcher of picnic baskets. He became popular enough to get his own show in 1961.

Since then Yogi has appeared in six TV series, a theatrical movie, a Saturday Superstar Movie, Scooby's All-Star Laff-a-Lympics, two Christmas specials, and two made-for-TV movies in 1988
