Plot Overview
Monique Melton from California and her husband, Mike are classically trained ballet dancers. They are teaching their 12-year-old son Jake to appreciate the finer things in life, such as taking him to operas, to art galleries and wine and cheese parties. The family takes care of their appearances, and Monique and Mike make sure that Jake always looks his best.
Monique swaps lives with Brandi Dufrene from the bayou of Louisiana. Brandi and her husband, Pookie run airboat tours while their three sons: 11-year-old Dalen, 8-year-old Gavin and 4-year-old Zane run wild. The boys' mischievous behavior is sometimes instigated by Pookie. Monique is left to deal with the household chores and discipline by herself.
