Plot Overview
Gina Loudon from San Diego, California is a Tea Party activist and conservative political pundit. She and her husband, John, a former Missouri State Senator have five kids: 17-year-old Lyda, 13-year-old Lilly, 10-year-old Jack, 6-year-old Beau and their 6-year-old adoptive son, Samuel, who has Down Syndrome. The family constantly talks about politics and religion, and John leads them in daily Bible study.
Gina swaps lives with Angela Envy from Charleston, New York. Angela lives her husband, Chris, their live-in girlfriend, Ashley, Angela's 12-year-old daughter, Brooklyn and three younger children: 7-year-old Maverick, 5-year-old Lyric and 1-in-a-half year old Kingston. Chris works as a semi-professional wrestler and works at a local warehouse to support his family.
While Gina feels uncomfortable living with an polyamorous couple, Angela instantly feels judged by John when she reveals her relationship with Ashley and is upset about the Loudons' conservative views.
