Plot Overview
In Illinois, Denise Berwick is supporting her husband, Pete's life-long dream of becoming a rock star. In order to help pay the bills, Pete has a job singing telegrams dressed up in various costumes such as a chicken. With Pete focused on his music career, he often takes gigs even on the holidays, leaving Denise to care for their 10-year-old daughter, Faith by herself.
Denise swaps lives with Val Roachford from Georgia. Val runs her family like a business and expects her husband, Greg and nine children to help maintain order in the house. Her 19-year-old daughter, Briana is the third parent in the house and is so busy taking care of her siblings, she has no time to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.
