The Uh-Oh Feeling is the sixteenth episode of the second season of Webster, and the thirty-eighth episode overall.

This is a very special episode dealing with child molestation and that it is often people in positions of trust who are the guilty ones. Here, Webster's classmate is inappropriately touched by a substitute teacher when the two are alone, and a frightened and confused Webster doesn't know what to do.

Guest Stars: Alison Sweeney (Beth), Meredith MacRae (Amanda)

Plot Overview

A substitute teacher, Mr. Todson, is taking over Webster's class while their regular teacher has taken ill. He's connecting well with the students and they like him a lot. After class, Todson asks to speak to one of Webster's classmates, Beth ... alone, while Webster waits for George to take them home.

Viewers only hear the conversation behind a closed door, where Todson says he really likes Beth and begins to hug her and tickle her. Webster, who realizes he forgot to give Beth her her books, comes back and overhears the conversation. He tells Beth through the closed door that "their" ride is waiting, after which Todson allows Beth to go ... with the admonition to keep it secret and that if she tells her parents, they will be very angry with her.

Beth is traumatized by what happened, and Webster knows he must say something, but Beth makes him promise not to tell. Webster agrees, but he knows that Todson might ask him to stay after class the next day and the same thing might happen.

So Webster does the old "play sick so I don't have to go to school" routine with George and Katherine. George is hep to those tricks, but then he also remembered that Webster was very quiet the night before at dinner. Webster comes clean and says he doesn't like Todson ... and then tells exactly what happened to Beth and that she swore him to secrecy. George and Katherine are outraged and call Beth's mother, Amanda, who refuses to believe her daughter, saying she's making it up. But then, Katherine, who is friends with a child abuse counselor, gets Amanda together with the counselor, and the counselor tells them both that Beth's behavior is very consistent with that of someone who was molested, and Amanda is heartbroken and angry.

Todson is soon arrested, and the next day at school, the principal – explaining only that Todson will not be returning – introduces the child abuse counselor to the class. In terms they can understand, she explains what to do if someone touches them in a way that they feel is wrong and that it is OK to tell a grown-up if they witness something like this.
