Plot Overview

A wannabe Texas ranger attempts to outdo Walker in handling criminals. One Samuel Bodine, aka Tommy Williams, but unknown to Walker, Trivette and Secretary Evie, who is unwittingly dating this wannabe Ranger and supplying him with info on criminals that Walker is seeking. He had tried out to be a real ranger, but was rejected because he failed the psych test. Now, he wants to do what he feels that Walker is too soft to do: eliminate every criminal that he comes across. Eventually of course, he is going to have to face Walker. And, it will be quite a showdown.

This episode was so close to a later episode about vigilantism. The episode that I am referring to is "The Committee", where a group of Law-Enforcement Higher Ups become as Bodine/Williams. Too bad Bodine/Williams and these Higher Ups didn't meet.
