Plot Overview
Caleb Hooks returns to torment Walker.
When last he was seen, Hooks was hauled away to prison, but has escaped and is now hell-bent on revenge because Walker had shot and killed his brother, Randy, during a shootout. (In the earlier episode, Walker had given Randy a chance to surrender but the latter refuses and nearly shoots and woman and her child.)
Hooks' plan involves abducting Alex and Trivette (a plan to also capture C.D. Parker fails) and locking them in a pit that is filled with near-freezing cold water. Hooks then contacts Walker and taunts him with cryptic games, daring him to come find them ... laying out traps along the way and being vague enough about the clues to stall the process and to hopefully kill Walker.
However, Walker remains one step ahead of Hooks at every turn, defeating all his mercenaries before the final showdown at an industrial park, where the water tank that Alex and Trivette are locked in is located. Literally moments before drowning, Walker manages to open the tank, causing water to spill out of the tank and free the good guys. Walker has to perform CPR on Alex but is successful in reviving her. (Shortly beforehand, Hooks comes outside, knowing that Walker is outside, and attempts to shoot him, but misses and Walker eventually fatally wounds him.)
As Walker is coming to their rescue, flashbacks from previous episodes, depicting the romance between Walker and Alex, play are shown.
