Plot Overview
Riding ahead of the train, Hale is wounded in an ambush by a cavalry patrol looking for deserters. The order was given by a sergeant who believes in shooting first and asking questions later. Hale helps the rookie Lieutenant step into his place as a true cavalry commander.
