WMYT is the My Network TV affiliate for the Charlotte, N.C. market, licensed to Rock Hill, S.C. and broadcasting on digital channel 25.4 (through a channel sharing arrangement with Fox affiliate and sister station WJZY). It is mapped to 55, its analog channel. The "My 12" branding comes from its position on most Charlotte area cable systems, channel 12.
WMYT opened in 1994 as independent WFVT. It became a WB affiliate a year later then changed calls to WWWB. When the WB and UPN merged and became the CW, Fox's News Corporation started My Network TV (which today is now a syndication service) and made channel 55, now with the call WMYT, their Charlotte affiliate.
