WMUR-TV is an ABC affiliate in Manchester, New Hampshire. The station broadcasts on digital channel 9 displayed to tuners on virtual channel 9 and is owned by Hearst-Argyle Television. The station is considered part of the Boston, Massachusetts market as Hearst also owns fellow ABC affiliate WCVB-TV.
WMUR first opened in 1954 as an ABC affiliate and has been affiliated with the network since then. In 1994, the station's two translators carried FOX programming until 2001 when FOX affiliate WFXT boosted up its signal to that part of the area.
