WMOR is the call sign for an independent station in the Tampa/St. Petersburg market, licensed to the city of Lakeland. They broadcast an ATSC 1.0 signal on RF channel 17.7 (a subchannel of ABC affiliate WFTS) and an ATSC 3.0 signal on RF channel 18.2, mapping to virtual channel 32.
Channel 32 opened in 1984 as WTMV with music videos as its primary source of programming. It became independent before long and cleared network programming pre-empted by the other affiliates. It became WB affiliate WWWB in 1996 then reverted to independent in 1999.
The NextGen ATSC 3.0 broadcast standard was rolled out in the Tampa/St. Petersburg market in 2021. WMOR serves as the host station (or "lighthouse station") for four other stations in the market who transmit their ATSC 3.0 signals on WMOR's subcarrier tier. The table below shows the stations being hosted. To accomodate maintaining ATSC 1.0 service, WMOR's subcarriers--Me-TV and Estrella--are transmitted from the subcarrier tier of WTSP and WTVT while retaining 32.2 and 32.3 as virtuals.
