Plot Overview
The WKRP gang rallies to help Johnny when his mentally unstable ex-girlfriend Buffy threatens him with a palimony suit. Johnny arranges to meet Buffy at Jennifer's apartment (which Buffy thinks is his) to settle the issue while Andy, Mr. Carlson, Venus and Bailey listen in from the apartment's kitchen, but while they have drinks, Buffy (unknown to Johnny) slips some powder into her drink, which Johnny accidentally takes and drinks after getting the two glasses mixed up. Buffy then alarms Johnny by claiming to him that she spiked one of the drinks with poison but does not remember which one she spiked, leading Johnny to think she may have poisoned him.
After revealing that what she put into her drink was actually headache powder, Buffy blackmails Johnny by threatening to move back in with him unless he pays her $500, and Johnny agrees to do so just to get rid of her. When the gang returns from the kitchen and Venus points out that Buffy is nuts, Johnny agrees, mentioning her flair for drama during the two years they spent together in Los Angeles and her willingness to do anything to get her way. To make up for standing her up for their movie date to see Buffy, Johnny offers to take Bailey out for dinner, which she accepts as they head out. Right after that, Andy, Mr. Carlson and Venus head into Jennifer's bedroom to see what it looks like - moments before Jennifer returns from a date and she sees the guys emerge from her bedroom.
