WHFV-TV was a television station licensed to Fredericksburg, Virginia, broadcasting on analog channel 69. It was an NBC affiliate, which many thought odd since viewers with decent aerials could receive Washington D.C.'s NBC outlet, WRC-TV.
WHFV lost money hand over fist in the time they operated; during its last three weeks, the staff never got paid as the station was some $200,000 in the red. It finally shut down on May 29, 1975.
