• Piz is named after Mark Piznarski, the director of the Veronica Mars episodes "Pilot" and "Credit Where Credit's Due".
• Towards the end of the series, Piz is offered an internship with the online music publication, PitchforkMedia. Apparently he took the internship, because a week before the series finale aired, a review of Säkert!'s self-titled album appeared on the website attributed to Stosh "Piz" Piznarski. Whether it was actually written by Chris Lowell or just a good-natured joke by the website is unknown.
