Loosely based on writer Lon Zimmet's brother-in-law and parents, The Untitled Lon Zimmet Project centers on a young interracial married couple, Evan and Nicole, whose plan to move into Nicole’s parents' house goes awry when she takes a temporary job transfer across the country. This leaves Evan — who is black– stuck living alone with his two intrusive, uninhibited white in-laws, exploring the question: What happens when your in-laws are your roommates?
