Plot Overview

Syaoran and Kurogane draw their swords and charge the Road Gang. Kurogane orders Syaoran to go after Sakura's feather. Syaoran manages to get atop one of the motorbikes, but the gang leader fires a rocket at the bike, melting it into a pile of scrap metal. The Road Gang escapes. Onboard the Road Train, most of the passengers celebrate.

Syaoran returns and finds Chitose removing the laser attack system from the bus so it can be used as a handheld device instead. Syaoran helps her while they talk. Everyone sleeps, and in the morning the bus departs once more.

While the bus passengers watch the news, they see a news item reporting that the singer Primera will miss her next show due to a mysterious illness. Primera stands up and defends herself, explaining that she was sick of not being able to control her own life, so she ran away with her manager Shōgo. Chitose and the old man muse about running away, when Mokona proudly announces that the feather has stopped moving. The truck with the feather has gotten a flat, but an oncoming railroad train threatens to block them from reaching it in time. Chitose overrides the bus control and guns toward the truck, but they just miss it. Syaoran and Kurogane run outside and Kurogane uses a pipe to launch Syaoran over the railroad train. He grabs the top edge of the truck and hangs on as the rail train clears the road and the bus continues the pursuit.

As Syaoran climbs the truck, the Road Gang arrives and begins to shoot at him with lasers. Chitose hands over the driving of the Road Train to the old man and prepares laser weapons which she gives to the other passengers. Sakura takes out two bikes with the laser while Syaoran grabs the feather. The leader of the Road Gang fires two rockets at the truck, one of which Sakura destroys with a laser. The other hits the truck, sending Syaoran flying at the Road Train, where he is caught by Kurogane and Fai.

Back on the bus Syaoran gives Sakura her feather, and Sakura remembers a conversation with Yukito. When she wakes up, Syaoran is hovering above her. Outside, the Road Gang are trying to hitchhike, but the only people who pick them up are the cops. The Road Train reaches the city, and the group prepares to say goodbye. Fai asks the old man where he heard that there is no coincidence, only inevitability, and the old man responds that it is simply something he learned in life.
