Plot Overview
A Civil War deserter returns to his childhood home in Porter, only to face the wrath of the townspeople, who don't want him there. When he's forced to kill a decorated war veteran and beloved town citizen in self-defense, the violence against him escalates. Hoby tries to convince the man to leave town before anyone else is hurt or killed, but he stubbornly refuses to leave.
