Timeslip is a sci-fi adventure that aired on ITV. It is about two children, Simon Randall and Liz Skinner. Liz lives with her parents near St. Oswald naval station, one day when Liz and Simon go to explore the station following the disappearance of a girl a few days earlier, they hear a buzzing noise, on getting closer to the sound they discover a time barrier, (they don't realize that's what it is at first). They enter it and find themselves at the same naval station but it is night time. They later find out they are in 1940. Liz and Simon go in and out of the barrier, meeting past and future versions of people they know, including Commander Traynor, a mysterious character who seems to want the children to keep entering the barrier to find things out for him. It later transpires that the Traynor they know is really a clone and the real one is being held against his will in the future.
