Plot Overview
A former member of the NLO team and former classmate of Aaron's shows up at his apartment with a bullet wound in her shoulder, claiming that she was shot by a city inspector. The bullet turns out to be from her own gun, and the inspector also wound up in the hospital with a serious head injury sustained in the same incident. Aaron's friend and her boyfriend are now being charged with attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon as a result of the struggle that happened outside the Community Action Council office they both run, and they both claim the inspector broke into their office to steal a manila envelope containing an incriminating document. Aaron and Barrett have an uphill battle to fight for their clients--not only do they have to prove that the document in question contains evidence of corruption and bribery by city officials, they also have to overcome the fact that the boyfriend has a previous felony conviction.
