Plot Overview
An expanded version of the 1970 theaterical featurette of the same name, this is a humorous look at America's love-hate relationship with the automobile. Merging live action and animation, this episode begins with an unusual trip on a highway where cars change shape and take on individual personalities. The scene then shifts to a hospital where a baby boy is spanked to "start his engine" and taken to the nursery in his first wheeled device - a simple cart. From this inauspicious beginning grows an ever-increasing onfatuation with wheeled transportation, bicycles, skates, toy cars and finally the automobile.
