[edit] Plot Overview

A young coati is shot and wounded by Tom Hardin, a rancher who dislikes the inquisitive animals. The coati is found by Charlie Crawfoot, an Indian working on an archaeological dig on Hardin's property. Charlie nurses the animal back to health and names it Cocoa. Later, Cocoa meets a pack of other coatis and leads them back to the digging site, which they promptly dig up even more, accidentally unearthing an ancient Indian tool that Charlie takes to the university for analysis.
