The Walter Winchell Show was a news show starring Walter Winchell. Winchell, who had been a radio reporter prior to television, never adapted to the TV format the way other radio personalities had. He left the show in 1955 and came back briefly in 1960; his unwillingness to change the show's format contributed to its poor ratings and subsequent cancellation.
