In the first round, contestants must lock in answers to questions before three dropped balls (slots 1, 4 and 7) reach a threshold. If they are right, the balls turn green and the team scores money where the balls drop. If incorrect, the balls turn red and money is deducted. A zero total at the end of the round eliminates the team from further play. Any positive amount lets them continue to round two.
The team members are separated in round two. The onstage player has to answer questions and chooses a zone for a ball drop. The isolated player has to answer the question as well and the ball is dropped from that zone.
Round three is similar except balls are dropped one at a time after questions.
The final round has the isolated player offered a contract to accept a guaranteed payoff of their freefall winnings plus $20,000 for every correct answer they made or reject the contract and take home any money they have banked.
