Plot Overview

As Daryl and the others are being pursued by Whisperers led by Beta, the Kingdom tackles a new obstacle in the run up to the fair.

Arc Advancement

Happenings

• A group who refer to themselves as the Highwaymen extort travellers on their way to the fair. Thanks to an offer from Carol, they instead are to make sure the roads are clear.

• Beta leads a group of Whisperers to retrieve Lydia. They are all killed, except Beta who Daryl pushes down an elevator shaft. However, Beta survives the fall.

• Daryl is initially hesitant to keep Lydia in returning to Hilltop, but relents. However, with Henry being injured, he intends for them to head for Alexandria as it's closest to get him stitched up before moving on.

• Lydia is adamant that she can't hurt her people, but Henry admits to caring for, which leads her to attempt to help when he's being attacked.

Referbacks

• When Dianne suggests the ones sending the note are the fraction of Saviors led by Jed, but Carol shoots it down, alluding to her killing them in "Who Are You Now?".
